Residential Garbage Collection

Garbage is collected twice a week except on holidays. Call 595-8094 to find out your garbage collection days and zone.

Your garbage must be at the curbside by 7 a.m. and removed by 8 p.m.  The handles and arrows of your roll-out should point towards the street.

Do not overload your roll-out; the maximum weight is 200 pounds. Lost or damaged roll-outs may incur a replacement fee of $90. Keep track of the number on your roll-out in case of loss or damage.

Keep your roll-out six feet away from all obstacles such as yard trimmings, parked cars, telephone connection boxes, mailboxes, water meters, fences and walls. If your roll-out must be placed under a tree or power line, make sure you have at least 14 feet of space between the curb and any tree limbs or power lines.

We recommend bagging all garbage before putting it in your roll-out.  This practice will keep your roll-out clean and will prevent it from blowing away and littering the streets.

Your garbage must fit easily in your roll-out. The lid must be closed to prevent litter. Items placed outside the roll-out or commercial dumpster will not be picked up. Tires, concrete, dirt, large rocks, lumber, and construction material are not allowed in roll-out containers or commercial dumpsters.
